It's a quirk that in one of the flattest and warmest areas of the United States a strong connection exists to luge one of the coldest and most mountainous of Olympic sports, Luge. In Harbormaster, lives Bullet Bob Hughes (with his wife Liz). Bullet, as he is known, is a former luge racer, the 1984 Olympic Team coach, and current President of USA Luge, the organization that selects, trains, and enters the U.S. Luge Team in Olympic and International competition. "Luge is a full-time commitment for the top athletes, particularly now with the next Olympic Winter Games, in Cortina, Italy, just 10 months off." Said Hughes. "With a special thanks to The Clubs, I'm hopeful the membership will come out and get behind one of our athletes, Zach. He's a great a kid", he added.
